Elvis is a New York City–based painter working in mixed media from his studio in Long Island City. His large-scale paintings investigate fragmented memory and its potential for reinvention, unfolding through a negotiation between intention, material, and movement. Guided by orchestrated chance, the work seeks to fracture rigid systems and inhabit the spaces that open as they break. Violence and quietude coexist, resolving into compositions shaped by contrast, tension, and fragile cohesion.
